You're familiar with wolves, aren't you? The dog-like creatures with the grey, black, sometimes white fur?
Around these parts, the wolves are about as different from what you're used to as they possibly can be. Sure, there are still humble timber wolves here too, but so much more as well. Some come in every color of the rainbow, with fantastic patterns and markings of a hundred different hues. Others can bend magical powers to their will, from shooting flames into the skies to moving fast enough to be a blur. Even more can imitate the appearances of different animals--in some places, seeing a wolf with a rack of antlers or webbed paws is as commonplace as the sun setting.
So, you think our world is strange, do you? You haven't seen anything yet.
Every wolf must have a separate account, so please join under your character's name after reading the rules.
Prey Level: Very low Weather: Brisk Changes: With bare tree branches rattling in the chilly wind, winter has returned at last...not much snow is falling just yet, despite the drastic temperature drop. Breeding: Yes Birthing: No

The large packs of the Valley, Mountain, and Cove are at peace...
...but a strange new chain of islands has been discovered out in the Sea of the Sun, just waiting to be founded by new packs! Does your wolf have what it takes?
Wolf of the Moment
Sayuri, played by Ginger!
Tread carefully, or you just might step into this lovely woman. She's quiet enough, it's feasible. Sayuri may not be the most vocal wolf, but she's got the fragile heart of a singer. A healsinger, that is! Sayuri is the novice healsinger of Blue Cove, but can she really handle the commitment of chastity and loyalness? Ah well, her posts are definitely a good read, and her body language isn't too bad either for being an aphonic. Recently she's obtained a pair of queenly wings from the Spirit from a scavenging hunt; good find, Sayuri!
Sayuri has also recently run into the gentlemanly Ferris and obnoxiously cute Eloru, possibly making companionship out of the duo. Who knows, maybe she'll find Ferris again... or is their relationship strictly platonic? Stalk Sayuri's post, find out for yourselves. Congrats on the Spotlight moment, Ging!

071908. CONGRATULATIONS, THIA!
This newspost is just to tell everyone that congratulations are in order for our very own Atilthia, a long time member and friend to many of us. I've known Thia for at least a year or so (I think it's been more though) and I and the other staff members thought she'd be a reliable addition to the team. She accepted our offer and now has a shiny new moderator name! More staff team additions may be made in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for those as well. posted by Serpent

KINGBIRD WOODS The Kingbird Woods has a very memorable name that spawns from its very memorable inhabitants; the massive woodland is constantly aflutter with the lively little songbirds known for their unique habits. In the autumn and winter these natives are pleasant and prone to flocks; when the spring and summer arrive, kingbirds leave their flocks and maintain strictly protected territories that they will defend from any other birds or predators…even as big as wolves. Despite the warm weather nuisance, this is the place where loners often make their homes and look for other wolves to start packs with. See details inside for some helpful tips.
NORTHERN LANDS (4 sub-boards) Northern Geneva is not what most think of when they think “north”. Snow and coldness comes to mind, but in reality this is the hottest region of the continent. Dominated by the Wailing Prairie and Hangdog Desert, two dry and warm locales, there is very little cold weather around here to speak of, unless of course you visit during winter. The Ever-Dry Basin and Cinder Forest, two other peculiar northern lands, are always worth a look-see.
EASTERN LANDS (2 sub-boards) The east is mostly claimed by the wolf packs now, but a few mountainous locations are still unclaimed and open to the general public. These are unforgiving, harsh places known for their unpredictable weather and rocky texture, but are still frequented by rogue wolves, particularly ones scouting around to find a pack to their liking. The Pastel Heights and Angel Archway are the remaining unowned eastern lands, and further southeast are the fabled Golden Runes.
SOUTHERN LANDS (2 sub-boards) Renegade’s Beach and the Old Bay make up the miniscule southern region, warm and inviting though they may be. They seem to have a bad stigma surrounding them due to the fact that the Old Bay now covers what was once home to the Jade Bay Pack; a colossal flood robbed them of a home and took some of their lives, leaving behind a bad reputation for these otherwise innocent sites.
WESTERN LANDS (2 sub-boards) The west is synonymous with one word: arctic. While you’d assume the north would be the frigid area, the west is made up entirely by the Arctic Wasteland, a bone-achingly cold tundra that was once a lush moorland owned by a now extinct pack. When a sudden and unforeseen blizzard grabbed the place a few seasons ago and transformed it nearly overnight, everyone in good mind learned to avoid it. If you can brave the barren landscape, you can visit the cold Genevan Sea shore or head off-coast to the little Faraway Isle.
THUNDERBOLT VALLEY REGION (5 sub-boards) Colored Wolves | Forest & Grassland | Currently: Stormy The Valley is a massive chasm yawning between the mountains surrounding it on three sides, a basin lush with greenery and alive with magic. The ancient soil of this steadfast monument has always been tread upon by the Thunderbolt Valley Pack and has not changed beneath those paws in all the years they have walked along it. Mystery rushes into the air every time the dust is stirred and power seems to crackle down the Heavenfall River, but this place is coveted for its rich prey populations and comfortable living space above all.
FROST MOUNTAIN REGION (5 sub-boards) Morph Wolves | Mountains | Currently: Cool This region is just as the name suggests: frosty and mountainous. The peaks here reach so far into the sky that they get lost in the clouds, the crevices and caves can suck in a wolf and never free them, snow can sink deeper than an elk in some places. It is a world of danger, adventure, and breathtaking beauty…once owned by a colored wolf pack, the morphs now rule this place. Their bad reputation goes hand-in-hand with the stigma surrounding their new home.
BLUE COVE REGION (6 sub-boards) Timber Wolves | Cliffs, Beach, & Lagoon | Currently: Very Humid The pack that lives at this semi-tropical locale once inhabited a damp swamp, so needless to say, they are rather fond of their new home. They have named everything here and staked out their own borders around the salty sea and jagged cliffs down to the pebbly beach line. The warm weather of this region lasts most of the year and vegetation is always thick wherever it grows. If you can get use to the taste of the seafood around here, you’ll likely fit in.
DARKRING TERRITORY (2 sub-boards) Special Pack | Bog & Temple | Currently: Rainy The labyrinth of the Blackearth Bog hides the mysterious Temple that the Darkrings are now calling home, but if you can find it, strange things can happen. As the Darkrings are so secretive and little known, unwary visitors may find themselves in a world of trouble if they wander into the winding maze of the dark swamp. If they make it all the way to the Temple, things could be much worse. If the Darkrings don’t find you, something else might.
BARLOCH ARCHIPELAGO (2 sub-boards) This territory is, as the name implies, a chain of islands located in the Sea of the Sun, the warm water body to the northeast of Geneva. The islands are wild, untamed, and unclaimed, but are prime real estate for small packs to be formed upon. The original three islands, Etyl, Fioa, and Tywen, are all that have been discovered thus far, though you can purchase a new island of your own at the Trading Post!
THE GOLDEN RUNES (2 sub-boards) As far back as anyone can remember, humans have never touched the Genevan lands. Their taint has not tampered with the delicate ecosystem and no creature--colored or otherwise--have been hunted down for their furs. And yet, no one can truly explain how the Runes got where they are today. The Sacred Crater is a wide scoop into the tallest mountain in Geneva, one of the few mountains unowned by any pack. And in the center of that yawning crater, a series of stones jut upwards from the ground, carved with symbols and pictures but with no known creator. Some are stunted and some are massive, tall spires, but all of them are seemingly shaped from real gold...and all are equally mystifying. Is it true that the Spirit of Geneva speaks here louder than anywhere else?

Winter Solstice Festival The Festival has arrived! In the heart of a blustering Geneva winter, all the wolves (loners and pack members) come together in a truce to rendezvous at the Crater. They are free to mingle and meet, make friends, start drama, and otherwise socialize in ways they wouldn't have been able to before. Remember, the Crater is huge, so wolves can be all over the place, and you can make as many threads as you'd like with all sorts of different wolves. The end of the Festival is August 1st when everyone will gather at the Golden Runes.
