You're familiar with wolves, aren't you? The dog-like creatures with the grey, black, sometimes white fur?
Around these parts, the wolves are about as different from what you're used to as they possibly can be. Sure, there are still humble timber wolves here too, but so much more as well. Some come in every color of the rainbow, with fantastic patterns and markings of a hundred different hues. Others can bend magical powers to their will, from shooting flames into the skies to moving fast enough to be a blur. Even more can imitate the appearances of different animals--in some places, seeing a wolf with a rack of antlers or webbed paws is as commonplace as the sun setting.
So, you think our world is strange, do you? You haven't seen anything yet.
Every wolf must have a separate account, so please join under your character's name after reading the rules.

The morph wolves are attacking the Alpine Lake Pack! AL wolves and morphs should head their to battle.

MAY
Uther, played by Atilthia!
Uther might swear worse than a drunken sailor, but that doesn't make him any less of an awesome character. In fact, quirks like that are what made him into the winner of this WOTM! Uther is plagued by the Seven Sins Curse, has a serious problem with cussing, and is the site's only Shape-Shifter, and his intricate involvement in the morph invasion plot and steady flow of high quality posting make him a very exceptional character. He is currently a father-to-be for Orthidox's litter, and he can impress those pups (and others around him) with a fancy new marking of his choice, if Thia so chooses. Congrats, Uther and Atilthia!

There is a new contest for buttons at the Help Desk, and I changed around the prizes so there is a lot of fun stuff up for grabs. The Quest prizes have been chosen and may soon be given out...keep your Quest threads active to maximize your chances!
Finally, the "living dead" pup has found his new owner...congratulations, Egress, for winning our special plot-pup!
THE LIVING DEAD!...AND OTHER UPDATES
May 6, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
A purchased a new mouse, one of the cordless contraptions that is really tiny and makes me feel like I have a giant hand. So no more tabbing around the internet like some bizarre handicap. The problem, now, is that the mouse is hyper fast to the point of being uncontrollable, so trying to click on anything means I usually zoom by it unless I take the time to slowly and painstakingly scroll onto it. I am fiddling with my mouse settings to try and slow it down, though no luck as of yet.
Check the Announcements board for the audition thread for a very special pup stolen by the Darkrings. Speaking of the Darkrings...yes they are doing a few more snatchings, but the staff has already settled on who will be stolen. It is a secret list and cannot be changed. The Darkrings who will be used in the stealing (as Havoc, Cyril, and Jeyra were in the most recent one) will be notified.
To all Alphas that don't have special ranks beneath their names yet: patience. They are tedious to do since they either need to be in image form or have to be coded to look correct, and the images for FMP and CH will come when they set up in their new territories.
SERPENT'S MOUSELESS MOUSE
May 3, 2008 by Kitt
------------------------------------------
Well, Serpent's mouse is being a retard. It won't work, and all she has is her keyboard which works. =O It's explained in the ABC thread. Anyways, she doesn't know how she'l be able to get on the site without a mouse. So, please be patceint with her.
QUOTE from ABC thread:
I know this is a weird place to post but let me explain.
My mouse has stopped working randomly and I only have my keyboard now. I was in MicroWord typing a post when it happened. I used Ctrl-Alt-Delete to open a task manager, tabbed to select the window I had open to this site, and brought it up. I F6'ed to highlight the URL and search for a URL I had been to in my URL history, trying to find one that would lead me to a page where I could post a message (without the mouse I obviously can't click on anything, so I really needed a page that would open straight into this "reply" screen.) Most of them were post message things on the staff board, which I can't get to from this account. This is the first one I found that I can get into, so I am kinda ruining the game with my mouselessness.
Anyway, I don't really know how to be on the site without a mouse. I will try to get a new one soon, and until then I can read the cbox (haven't found a way to get into it so i can type though.) Just wanted to let you know xPPP
So, that explains it all. Sorry Serpent... that your mouse is retarded. -snugs-
NEW LONER LANDS
May 1, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
Happy first of May! If you check out the loner category, you'll see a lot of brand new boards and sub-boards. While you don't know where they are exactly (the new map I have been hinting at will come after the new pack territories are settled into) you can still enjoy and RP in them with your loners and bored pack members.
A new feature on all loner lands is the "Occupied By:" feature. If you have a small group of wolves or a particularly dominant loner and you want them to have a "territory", ask nicely and I'll put your name on a board. More than one wolf or wolf group can patrol a single loner land and they can't really restrict others from coming in, but they can have their own stomping grounds to call home and for others to come visit them at. Sedra's group (with Selena, Cyrus, and Selena's pups) gave me the idea.
ADJUSTED BREEDING SEASONS
April 27, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
I finally did the Alpha ranks, so everyone who owns an Alpha character will now have the correct color for their name. We need to get rolling with the plots, people. The morph invasion is taking quite a long time, as is the move from Jade Bay to Blue Cove. The longer they take, the more pushed back other things are....
...like our new breeding seasons! I've decided that winter & spring will the breeding seasons, with spring & summer being birthing seasons. But I am not starting this breeding schedule until the packs are settled into their new territories, meaning Blue Cove and Frost Mountain need establishing and Alpine Lake's wolves need to merge into the Thunderbolt Valley Pack. I change the season time every Friday, so if we use up all of spring without the breeding season returning, we'll be waiting the six weeks until our next winter season rolls around before any more pregnancies will be happening.
SOME MUCH CHANGE!
April 27, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
Hello, my name is Serpent and I have a skin changing problem. (Hello, Serpent!)
Seriously though, I loved the logo on the last one but hated the skin after only a day. So I changed it. I like this one better, and it has lotsa fun new perks! For instance, some people could not see our last PM bar code, which added a little [Inbox] link to the end of the [Home][Members], etc. menu bar. Now that is changed! While hunting down a new PM bar the other day i found the code we are now using, which puts the menu inside the banner annnnddd....(drumroll) puts your PM status in the lower right hand corner! When you aren't logged in it will say "You must join us to receive howls", when you have no new PMs it will say "No one is howling to you", and when somehow has sent you a PM it will say "A wolf has howled to you!" So hurray, isn't that awesome!
Aside from the skin and super sexy PM bar, let's give it up for Maddie for making the side-table header images! They are very awesome...and while we are applauding her, add some applause to Kitt as well, because these two were recently added to the staff team!
The staff is talking over a lot of new ideas, including more powers, rule revisions, and territories. If you are observant you will notice all the territories changing slightly: the board description are being modified and the categories are getting done up nice. This is because I have recently started creating the Blue Cove boards and came up with a fun way to model them, so now all the packs will have this! And, hopefully, we will be giving each pack some new territories so they will have more land to roam!
Finally, I wanted to tell everyone that if you contribute to the site somehow, we may be willing to reward you. Lately we've had a couple of people suggesting new powers and such, so when you beautify the site you get stuff back! More on this later.
ANOTHER NEW SKIN
April 24, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
So, new skin. I'm in love with the logo (everyone thank Diar Fionn for being the inspiration behind it xD) I think everything is in place, though the packs need updating and everything; after the morph take over of AL I will switch it to Frost Mountain and Blue Cove will get boards soon, etc. Alphas of all packs, your names colors and ranks still look stupid, so just roll with that until I update the alpha ranks too.
LAST CALL! & Breeding Season?
April 18, 2008 by Anna
------------------------------------------
Did you ever check that Giant Giveaway thread? Because your days are running very low to claim the gifts/curses you could have won!
Also, I don't know all the details but it seems that breeding season has come to a sudden stop. Although I have no idea when it did or why, I'd assume that it has stopped to help with the baby boom. I'll check with Serpent to see if she can give as a better reason as to why it has stopped, but until then I believe that all breeding threads are to stop or be put on hold. judging is also closed for the time being. I'm sorry no warnings came out, there seems to be an information lag going around lately. xD *curses evil nice weather*
THE MAGIC IS TAKING OVER!
April 16, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
Have you checked the Magic Powers thread today? Because we just added 15 new powers for any wolf to have, and 1 new power for warm colored wolves...that's right! The abilities have ceased to be separated by races, and they are now split up by powers for any wolf, powers for warm-colored wolves, powers for cool-colored wolves, and the powers for neutral-colored and timber wolves! So many new options to choose from...be sure to check them out!
BRIEF MM

Sorry if you logged on to out twenty-minute MM this morning. Something went weird with our sidebars and I had to fix it. Tell me if there are any problems still.
BABY BOOM
April 12, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
So, if you notice in our new little "Other" box below this table, we have a lot of litters that have adoptable pups. I also posted the Birthing Schedule for these upcoming seasons and if you peek at it you'll notice we have a lot of females lined up to bring some pups into the world. The early breeding season seems to be a hit, am I right?
Due to this boom of baby-making, we will probably have some limiting measures come into play. I have a few ideas of what will be done or can be done, I just haven't chosen what to do yet. I will probably cut the number of how many pups you can get in a litter down for the remainder of the breeding season; currently the Dice can give you up to five pups, but I may lower it to four or three since we have been having a lot of big litters. Either that or I may add some extra "Dead" rolls to the list of outcomes you can get when we roll the conditions of the pups.
Lotsa plot stuff happening, everyone. Check the Site Events box in the sidebar to see if anything fun is happening for you. Jade Bay has been destroyed and the pack is on the move through the Arctic Wasteland...and they might have even met up with the morphs there, but the morph wolves are currently mobilizing to take over Alpine Lake. Get involved today!
Because there are so many plots this winter, there won't be a Winter Solstice Festival. TV and AL will be trying to become one pack, the morphs will just be settling in, and Jade Bay will be migrating and acquiring new territory. And the Darkrings are still growin' up. So none of the packs will go the Solstice this winter, which may anger the Spirit...TV is paranoid enough with all this bad stuff happening to the other packs, and now they have made the Spirit mad, so they are bound to be doubly insecure. I will probably do a Random Giveaway though to hand out some curses and gifts and stuff, though, since we haven't had one in a while (and new Quests are coming soon, people! Just have to get some good ones thought up.)
CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER...
April 11, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
..for Psalite, the new Thunderbolt Valley Healsinger! Since Lust deleted Saturn, the last Healsinger, Psalite has taken his place as the new healer and trainer of the TV Novice, Evangeline. IC, we are saying the Saturn died after he was unable to heal a snakebite wound he acquired while out teaching Evangeline about herbs in the forest. Psalite, who was close to Saturn, learned enough about Healsinging to take over. This works out well because she doesn't have full training, which means she can't teach Evangeline very well...but since AL will soon be merging into the Thunderbolt Valley Pack, D'vorak will be able to help with Evangeline's training too! All the more reason for Guinevere to take in the homeless AL wolves after the invasion! Psalite now has the Healsinging power and Phasing.
...and for Roe, the new morph wolf pack Alpha Male! This is partially because of complications back a while ago over the Jade Bay challenging. To reduce site drama, Roe has been remade as a wolverine morph that will be bringing the morphs together to get ready for the invasion. But he isn't alone! For lack of an Alpha Female at this time, we have instated Deimos and Alorna as the Beta pair! These two will be helping closely in the plans for the take-over...though right now the morphs are still just forming up a pack and trying to find a place to get a new territory, since the Wasteland doesn't suit them. Soon, Uther and Orthidox will come to them and plot with them about taking over Alpine Lake, which should happen soon because...
Winter has begun! This is a big time for plotting because of the above invasion plot...and because of something going on in Jade Bay. Have you checked our new side-bar box listed Site Events? You should ^_^
I CAN HAS MAINTENANCE MODE?
April 7, 2008 by Serpent
------------------------------------------
Haha. Lolcats are funny.
Anyway, I am sorry this MM is taking such a buttload of time. I planned it to be like it has always been--only an hour or two long. And yet, I put it in MM last night and here we still are! There are a lot of factors for this. Firstly, it was way late last night when I put us in MM, and I totally forgot to do some images that I have to do. Until I can like, make Bon do them or something, we won't have the little images that go below your names to say what pack you're in. I just have words, which are boring, but yeah.
There was some...drama last night too. Not specifically here, so no need to nose around the cbox, but it left me a little emotionally exhausted to finish the work, even if I stayed up really late with the express desire to do so. To quell your curiousity: things were said, crying was involved, my famous temper flared, and now some things have changed. Don't ask me about it, I cannot deal with it again. The underlying theme is this, though. I stayed up late to work on this site...so I'm either dedicated or crazy. Maybe a little of both, but especially the former. I have invested hours upon hours into this site's layout, content, and etc. Bon, the previous co-admin, did a whole lot of research and concocted a whole lot of ideas for us. Our staff, like Anna, Kira, and previously Noff, have worked their tails off to give this forum its originality. So when you take from us, you spit in all of our faces, and the members' faces as well. And let me be the first to inform you that I don't like being spit on. And I usually spit back.
So, emotional speech over, I am cleaning out some boards to organize us, moving a bunch of old threads to the Archives mainly. I love this skin though, don't you (from what you can see of it)? Everyone better get on their hands and knees and worship Ginger for the logo. Seriously. Worship her. She has godly gifts with her Photoshop.
We should re-open by the end of today, after I get off work. I'm on the lappy now, and lord knows I can't do much with it.
OMG MAINTENANCE MODE WTFBBQ!!?
April 6, 2008 by Serpent

Calm down, folks. TO is only down for a short time to install the new skin and the new codes. It'll be back up afterwards, and tomorrow I'll be adding some fun new stuff to the site and hopefully cleaning it up and organizing more!
OTHER
All pups in the upcoming litters have either been claimed or have died (if not claimed within a week) so now we enter birthing season! Be sure to check the Birthing Schedule to see when your female is due, and give birth on time! If your female does not give birth in the correct season, she will either have premature (and dead) pups or a miscarriage!
Lawbook (1 sub-board) All the rules of the site are contained in this board, and we'd appreciate guests reading them before joining as it makes things easier on all of us. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, so be sure you know them and ask questions if you need too. There are also a few sub-board under this board that explain things about the packs, races, and more.
Announcements (1 sub-board) Site bulletins and other important updates will be posted here. Most, if not all, need your feedback and opinions or, if they are a poll, your votes. Don't just read and ignore; try to participate and take and active hand in the future of the site. If you don't speak up, you might not like the results!
Help Desk (2 sub-boards) All members should check here for contests, auditions, applications, and the like. This is also the place to ask questions to staff and get feedback, or else get approved to create a morph wolf.

The Unclaimed Wilds
PASTEL HEIGHTS (1 sub-board) The Pastel Heights are a series of low hills and plateaus seeping towards Thunderbolt Valley from the southeast. They are named not just for their pallid stones and washed-out bleaching from the sun, but also because the grasses and other plant life around these parts is just as pale and softly colored as the rest of it. During a gentle sunrise it is often hard to tell where the ground and sky meet, but this place has more importance than just a good view; it is a great way to access all the three packs. The Heights, however, can only be reached during the spring, summer, and a little ways into the fall; during winter they are blocked off by ice and getting to them is nearly impossible.

HANGDOG DESERT Not all deserts fit the stereotype of “hot, dry, and lifeless.” The bad reputation comes from the majority of deserts fitting the above description but some, like this one, are slightly different. The land is still rather inhospitable with its sand-and-rock soils and scrub vegetation, but the temperature is not nearly as high as the average desert. It is humid here and at mid-day the heat soars, but the cactuses in blossom are a pretty sight and there is prey here that exists no where else in Geneva. Small pockets of land here and there have water sources and some shade too, if you can find one of these mini-oases.
WAILING PRAIRIE (2 sub-boards) Few locales in Geneva have specified stories behind them, but this is one of those places that does. Tales are told that a lone female called Nias gave birth out on the Prairie during a spring season. During a dust storm, however, she was separated from her litter…and she never found them again. She spent the rest of the season calling out for them and wandering the Prairie that she turned into nothing more than skin and bones and shrank away into the dust. Whether her pups were eaten by a fox, snatched by a falcon, or were simply killed when their mother never returned from them, no one knows. But Nias’s wails still howl through the Prairie when the winds arrive to kick up the dust, and there’s a rumor abound that anyone that gets caught in a dust storm could be swallowed up just like she was.

RENEGADE'S BEACH (1 sub-board) Generations ago, two brothers competed for the same female. When one succeeded in wooing her and getting her with pups, the other brother grew jealous and vengeful. When the female had her first litter, the brother maliciously killed the pups before they saw a single sunrise. The father, enraged, hunted his brother down for seasons, keeping the fugitive male on the run constantly. One day he lost all sign of his murderous brother and was forced to give up the search and return to the forlorn mate he had left behind, but legend has it that the renegade hid out at this beach until his brother lost the trail. Fearful of leaving, he lived out the rest of his days here, and since then it has become a notorious hangout for runaways and other unsavory types.

The Cinnamon Fields Pack has always lived in the rich moorland beyond the Valley, yet now all that remains of their ancestral home is a vast zone of freezing air and constant snow. Ice banks grow on newly formed rivers and frozen lakes, overhangs of glittering frost form bone-chilling caverns...but none of the old lands seem to remain. Below the many feet of snow and slush, deep down the frigid earth, this used to be the place for Atra and Baedi wolves to congregate. But it has all disappeared...and no one knows why.

REGION OOC BOARD The Thunderbolt Valley Pack has existed for centuries, or so the tales say. Three packs used to rule Geneva, and now only the Valley wolves remain of those three original groups. They are fiercely proud and were once strictly home to warm-colored wolves like reds, oranges, and yellows. When the morphs took over Frost Mountain, then called Alpine Lake, the cool-colored wolf pack that lived there was forced out and came to the Valley for shelter. They also took in any neutral-colored wolves living as strays after their pack was turned into the Arctic Wastelands. They have now combined to form a colored wolf pack.

VALLEY FLOOR (1 sub-board) The floor of the Thunderbolt Valley is a wide, long spread of flourishing plantlife and animal populations. The many varieties of life in this gaping expanse have transformed it from an empty cavernous yawn into a thriving heart of activity. Tales are told that once, long ago when Geneva was very young, this place was a massive span of nothingness, but then light came to the world and filled the Valley with all the resources wolves needed to inhabit it. Now there are birds in every tree from the tall hemlocks to the knobby dogwoods, berry bushes and bracken clumps dotting the ground, and herds of ungulates migrating in and out of the area constantly. The Heavenfall River cascades down from the mountains and forms a long, snaking body of water than glides down the center of this territory, creating a utopian effect for the wolves of the Thunderbolt Valley Pack. The one true downside of this place is that it is wedged between the Cinnamon Fields and Alpine Lake Packs, leaving the Thunderbolt wolves in a steady state of vulnerability to attack.
Important Conditions: None Status: Unused, open to exploration Territories Within: Heavenfall River
WITCHWOOD Running along the southern half of the Valley, Witchwood is a simple deciduous woodland that is very sparse and populated only by the occasional deer or small mammal. This is the most secluded place in the Valley, and it is rarely inhabited by the whole pack at a time unless there is severe weather pushing them out of their more durable homes.
Important Conditions: None Status: Unused, open to exploration Territories Within: None
THE HIGHTOWER TREE There is no tree more famous in the Valley, and perhaps all of Geneva. This sequoia was once part of Witchwood, but because of its massive canopy, it blocked all the light from reaching its neighbors and now stands alone. It outgrew all of its fellows until it reached a size so large it is nearly unbelievable; situated at a bend in the River, the Hightower Tree is broad enough around the trunk that ten wolves could line up, nose-to-tail, and just barely reach around. It is also tall enough to disappear on misty days, and its boughs are as thick as some other trees' entire trunks are. It leans heavily to the right and is partially split because it was once hit by lightning...and that strike was so deafening and powerful that it gave the Valley its name. Because of the incline, wolves can run along the diagonal trunk to access the canopy for shelter, or else hide themselves (and pups) amongst the giant tangled roots below.

REGION OOC BOARD Once upon a time this was known as the Alpine Lake territory, home of the pack of cool-colored wolves. During the Winter of Year Two, however, morph wolves banded together in the Arctic Wasteland and began forming a pack. Without a home, though, they had little chance of survival...until two Alpine Lake wolves betrayed their pack and agreed to lead the morphs into the territory. The morphs were few but very strong with their special gifts, and easily drove the Alpine Lake Pack out. They renamed it the Frost Mountain Pack for obvious reasons.

SKYCLAW RANGE - 1 Viewing (1 sub-board) In the highest reaches of Geneva, the frost Mountain wolves prowl their peaks and cliffs with an amazing amount of sure-footedness and balance. The Skyclaw Range, often shortened simply to the Skyclaws, is a massive and unpredictable stretch of crags, caves, summits, and sheer drops for those unwary few. Some sides of the Skyclaws are grassy and even somewhat flat, while other more wild fractions are jagged and hard to maneuver through for any non-natives. It might be slightly less prosperous than the other packs, but their vantage point and the size and perilous nature of their home gives them a distinct advantage over intruders. The pack was previously named for the Alpine Lake that pours over a cliff into the Valley, forming their Heavenfall River, but after the morph takeover it was renamed as the Frost Mountain Pack because of the extremely cold, wintery conditions at the time of the invasion.
Important Conditions: Severe Snow Storms in the highest peaks Status: Unused, avoidance is encouraged Territories Within: Lotus Falls
LOWSTONE HILLS At the very bottom of the Skyclaws, the Lowstone Hills form a few sandy slopes covered in chunks of granite and other plain rocks from previous landslides out of the higher peaks. These are much easier to inhabit than higher up in altitude, but a lot less interesting. Besides resting on the larger boulders and digging out burrows beneath stones and piles of brush, there isn't a lot to do around these parts. However, this is a popular home for the pack during spring and summer, because pups can be born in these safer dens and then ascend the slopes when they are older.
Important Conditions: None Status:The Pack is denning here Territories Within: None
SNOWCROWN CAVERNS The Snowcrown Caverns are a series of caves located about mid-way up in the mountain range, carved from age-old streams that have trickled along the rock enough to cause sufficient erosion. Some of the caves are simply open mouths willing to swallow a cold wolf and shelter it from the cold frosts and snowcaps surrounding it, but others vary from wide to narrow, short to miles long. A few even reach down far into the mountains and below ground. Rumor has it that one such passageway even reached an underground lake, but those accounts have never been proven.
Important Conditions: None Status: Unused, open to exploration Territories Within: None
REGION OOC BOARD The Blue Cove Pack was founded by Diar Fionn and Ice, the Alphas of the now-extinct Jade Bay Pack. A flood destroyed their old home (Jade Bay) forcing the survivors to struggle up the Arctic Wasteland during the winter of Year Two. When they made it to the highest cliffs and caught their first glimpse of the territory beyond, the Alpha Male proclaimed they should be renamed as the Blue Cove Pack simply because the land ahead of them was a deep blue body of water that seemed to be a cove. Upon closer inspection they found that it was not a cove at all, as the water body did not reach the ocean, but a Laguna. The initial name stuck nonetheless, and they have been the Blue Cove wolves ever since.

GLASS-EYE LAGUNA (2 sub-boards) A meteor strike left two discernible effects on the land. A circular crater impacted into the earth, walled in by stone crags. The second alteration came after years of bad drainage. The poor topsoil of the land did not filter out rain water as more fertile loams do and this transformed the crater into a body of water. Clay and debris build-up lowered the water level until it could be classified as the Laguna it is known as today, and some of the increase molded the Iris Island. When viewing it from the cliffs, the Island and the reflective water give the impression of being a large, staring eye…hence the memorable name. The Laguna is a good example of the old saying “beauty is only skin deep”; that second effect mentioned above is serious. The area is pretty but the water has an uglier side. The remnants of the meteor were buried amidst the silt of the Laguna’s bed but have still turned the water into a foul-tasting brew that can cause sickness to anyone who drinks it. Wading through it and sampling the small fish from its supply (if you can get used to the slightly bitter residual taste) don’t appear to be problems, but drinking is discouraged.

IRIS ISLAND The little Island is what makes the Laguna appear some much like an unblinking eyeball, ominously watching the northern shore for all of time. If you can get past the eerie appearance of the Island, it has a lot to offer. The sandy soil isn’t very appropriate for supporting most plants excluding the beach grass and varying species of palms that now over-run it, but it does hold water well, so after a good rainshower there are many puddles to drink from (which helps balance out the minor fact that you can’t drink directly out of the Laguna.) The shallowness of the water allows almost any wolf to wade safely to and from the Island and it is a suitable place to shelter during bad weather—or good!—which makes it a favored place by most creatures great and small.

PEBBLE BEACH The Sea of the Sun, named for how it “gives birth to the sun” each morning, is a wonderful sight at dawn. Where the Genevan Sea, on the other side of the land, is cool and vast, this body of water is always warm and peaceful. It can be seen distantly from the Bluffs and smelt all around the Blue Cove region, but the only place to see it up close is at the Pebble Shore. Rather than sand, this beach is covered in smooth amber-colored pebbles. The effect, while eliminating vegetation growth, is very soothing and tranquil.

The Golden Runes (2 sub-boards) As far back as anyone can remember, humans have never touched the Genevan lands. Their taint has not tampered with the delicate ecosystem and no creature--colored or otherwise--have been hunted down for their furs. And yet, no one can truly explain how the Runes got where they are today. The Sacred Crater is a wide scoop into the tallest mountain in Geneva, one of the few mountains unowned by any pack. And in the center of that yawning crater, a series of stones jut upwards from the ground, carved with symbols and pictures but with no known creator. Some are stunted and some are massive, tall spires, but all of them are seemingly shaped from real gold...and all are equally mystifying. Is it true that the Spirit of Geneva speaks here louder than anywhere else?

Other Side of the Mountain In the legends of old, it was called the land where the sun never shined. Tales of brave wolves coming and exploring here have been told in the past, but they have all since died out. Common knowledge today is that the Sacred Crater's mountain dips right into the sea on the other side, but it isn't the whole truth. The other side of the Mountain is now the home to the Darkrings, a mysterious gang of wolves believed to be the pups stolen during the spring and summer of Year One.

Cascade Hollow The Hollow is the meeting place, denning grounds, and general center of Darkring activity. Unlike the much larger Sacred Crater nearby, this is believed to have been a lake at one time. Carved smooth by water erosion, it is now dry and made entirely of bright white stone. It is sheltered by a dense conifer forest that keeps it hidden from wolves that don't know it is there. The white stone sides give way to a dark soiled bed, the perfect place for vegetation to spring up...which it has, giving shelter to the elusive Darkrings that call it home. Closed off by the maze of thick forestry surrounding it, it is almost entirely invisible.
